Day 7- Las Vegas

Day 7: VEGAS!

LET'S KEEP HEADING WEST!

What a rollercoaster morning! We kicked off the day with grand plans for a sleep-in, but nature and urban symphonies had other ideas. Just imagine: the crows squawking like they're having a debate, car alarms going off in a synchronized dance routine (round two!), and distant coyotes adding their two cents to the dawn chorus.

But hey, who needs sleep when you can embrace the chaos, right? After finally rolling out of bed fashionably late, we seized the day like champions. Some opted for the soothing embrace of a Starbucks cup, while others fancied a refreshing shower to shake off the morning mayhem. And let's not forget the brave souls who decided today was THE day to tackle Mount Laundry! Better late than never, right?

The  Grumpy's cooking the best breakfast burritos of all TWB history.

Mason showing off his Los Vegas outfit.

Evan laying in a hammock enjoying the Arizona morning.

Some of the boys dressing out for Vegas.

Taking turns fixing hair to go to Vegas.

After devouring delicious breakfast burritos (seriously, big shoutout to Grumpy's for the fuel!), we geared up for the next leg of our journey—across the scorching desert. The challenge? Packing everything we'd need for the next two action-packed days into our trusty daybags. Who knew you could fit so much adventure into such a compact space?

Once we were geared up and raring to go, the TWB staff dropped some knowledge bombs on us to maximize our trip's awesomeness. Energized and motivated, we hit the road and split into groups to tackle our mission of the day: crafting the ultimate TWB-themed remix! As proud members of Team Dopey's, we're convinced our remix of "Wagon Wheel" is going to blow the competition out of the water!

Our breakfast.

Garrett and Westyn enjoying all of the water melons by themselves.

Bon Appetit!

Girls loving the breakfast burritos.

Councilors giving advice on how to make the most of TWB.

Miss Mary Mac ready to hit the road.

A TWB day isn't complete without our mandatory Walmart adventure—because where else can you find everything from camping gear to the weirdest snacks imaginable? First stop: Walmart, check!

Cruising along, Dallas decides to play tour guide and marvels at the surreal desert landscape (sorry, Hoover Dam, you were just too stealthy for pics this time). Then, bam! We hit Vegas, where the thermostat casually reads 115 degrees like it's no big deal—talk about stepping into a literal oven!

Caught Sleeping!

Turkey Tucker gobbling up his nuggets.

Stocking up at Wallyworld

Conner showing off his new backpack.

Thomas and Charlie slumped on the bussssssss.

Viva Los Vegas!!!

Walking through the smelly, smoked filled casino.

Hiking 30 minutes to Caesars Palace.

Our Vegas saga kicks off with a swaggering hike through the city straight to Caesar's Palace. hit with the glitz of a thousand chandeliers and the glamour of endless casinos. Mason, ever the connoisseur of scents, may have mentioned something about a "unique" aroma inside, but hey, who needs air fresheners when you've got ancient Greek statues to admire?

After snapping a killer group shot by the fountain, we split into squads of six or more, ready to conquer the Strip like pros. Let the Vegas adventures begin—because when TWB hits Sin City, we roll the dice and play for keeps!

The long anticipated Caesars Palace!

Spiliting into groups to explore the Los Vegas Strip.

Enjoying the sights at Vegas.

Shopping for gifts and treasures.

Councilors chilling watching the Water Show.

Many groups B-lined to In-n-out, which proved to live up to the hype as the animal fries and double cheeseburgers were loved by all.. The other half although had a great time and many are coming home with hats, and shirts to remember the experience. We shopped til we dropped at all of the gift shops, and one of Kinsley's many debit cards declined. We all did our best to make it to the Bellagio to catch the water fountain show, Valerie especially loved the song choices. We did our best to weave in and out of the many street performers on the strip, and as it got darker the party only got louder. Side note: don't let Tucker out in Vegas alone past 7pm! We all hiked back to the Gold coast for our curfew of 9pm!

We all had a blast bowling from then until 1am. Gopher had “perfect game” (if you ignore the fact that he edited a couple rounds). This whole entire time, Shawn was getting a good nights rest in preparation to drive to Santa Monica through the night.

Bowling at the Gold Coast!

Renting 160 bowling shoes!

Relaxing after a long night in Vegas.

Bowlinggggggg!

Having lots of fun whilst bowling!

Waiting for everyone to get ready to leave the casino at 1am.

#slumped

This is not an inside joke we were actually exhausted.

Finally heading out of Vegas to sleep on the bus or the vans.

The jobs are switching tomorrow, so this is the Dopey's signing off, love to all in the Carolinas and surrounding area. See you in 15 days!
