Hey blog pals! Get ready to embark on a wild ride with the Bashfuls! We've got Macie, Carolyn, Ashley, Carson, Grey, Cody, Westyn, Claire, Erin, Ava, Gabi, Eliza, Abby, and our fearless leader, Mary—she's anything but bashful!

Sure, there might be a few butterflies fluttering around (mostly from the excitement, we swear!), but we're pumped to share our adventures with you. Stick around as we navigate through twists, turns, and probably a few giggles along the way!

Today kicked off with a bang as we hopped aboard our spunky rides—cue the Miss America and Carolina Girl vans. We wasted no time breaking the ice, diving headfirst into the ultimate name-getting-to-know-you extravaganzas. Speed dating on wheels? Check. Name games that could rival a sitcom script? Double check. We've got Cucumber Carolyn and Cupcake Claire leading the charge in creativity! 

Fueling our journey with gourmet sandwiches that we're practically works of art (seriously, ham/turkey and cheese masterpieces), accompanied by chips and cookies that disappeared faster than you can say "snack attack." Orientation was all about mastering the art of TWB. Basically, we're pros at being ourselves and soaking up every moment :)

We proudly proclaim ourselves Great Value enthusiasts (who doesn't love a good deal?), and tonight's menu? Drumroll, please... Burgers and watermelon! Because nothing says "culinary delight" like juicy burgers paired with the ultimate summer fruit!

Sure, we had a few minor hiccups (who knew assembling a grill could be so entertaining?), but once those patties hit the flames, it was smooth sailing. Technical difficulties? Psh, we turned them into tasty triumphs. Our burgers were a hit—so much so that we might just start a Happys Burger Joint franchise.

 The drive to the campsite was full of curvy roads and secluded areas. There’s lots of space to sleep, play relay games, and do our sing along! We quickly learned that we have some competitive people in this group. The relay games were so tight, picking the winners was a challenge!

We’re overcoming adversity and conquering the heat already on day 1.  We are so excited to be here and even more pumped for tomorrow where we will be heading to New Orleans, Louisiana.  


Now it's time for showers and a few hours of sleep, before we head down south for some good ole' beignets!
